PracticeAloud: Citizenship — help and support
This page is for PracticeAloud: Citizenship, our app for iPhone. The website practicealoud.com and its web tutor are a separate product: purchases, practice and progress do not carry over between the two, and the prices, refund rules and FAQ on the rest of this site do not apply to the app.
Contact support
Email support@practicealoud.com. We read every message.
The app has no sign-in and holds no email address for you, so we cannot look you up by name. Tell us:
- what happened, and roughly when;
- your iPhone model and iOS version;
- for anything about a purchase, the order ID from the receipt Apple emailed you. It is also listed at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Purchases
- Passes are sold through the App Store with your Apple Account. Apple takes the payment; we never see your card.
- The prices are set in the App Store and shown on the app’s purchase screen, in your currency. They are not the prices on this website’s pricing page, which are for the web product.
- Every pass is a one-time purchase that does not renew. It lasts the number of days shown on the purchase screen, and nothing is charged when it ends. The full rules are in the app’s terms of use.
Getting your purchase back
A purchase belongs to your Apple Account, not to the phone, and there is no restore button to look for. Every time the app starts, it reads your purchase history from the App Store and picks up any pass you bought — after a reinstall, on a new iPhone, or after Delete all my data. Stay signed in to the same Apple Account and open the app with a connection. A purchase works on up to three devices.
To buy another pass while one is still running, open Settings → Purchases → See passes. The new pass starts the day your last one ends.
If a pass you bought does not come back, email support@practicealoud.com with the order ID from Apple’s receipt and the date you bought, and we will sort it out.
Refunds
Apple sells and refunds purchases made in the app; we cannot issue refunds for them. To ask for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account you bought with. When Apple refunds a purchase, the access it bought ends.
Your data
- Export my data in the app’s settings gives you a file with everything your app account has on our server.
- Delete all my data in the app’s settings erases it. It cannot be undone; your purchase stays with your Apple Account, and the app picks it up again by itself.
- What the app collects, and who processes it for us, is in the privacy policy, under The iOS app.
