PracticeAloud: Citizenship — terms of use

Version — September 2026.

These terms cover PracticeAloud: Citizenship, our app for iPhone. The website practicealoud.com and its web app are a separate product with their own terms: purchases, practice and progress do not carry over between the two.

1. Who provides the app

PracticeAloud is operated by an individual entrepreneur (a sole proprietorship), not an incorporated company. For any question about the app or these terms, contact support@practicealoud.com.

Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. These terms add the rules that are specific to PracticeAloud.

2. Who may use the app

The app is for adults preparing for the US naturalization test. You must be 18 or older to use it and to make purchases in it. If we learn that a child has used it, we delete the data held for that installation, as described in the privacy policy.

3. No account

The app has no sign-in and asks for no email address. On first launch it creates a device account for that installation of the app, and your practice is kept under it. That account is not connected to any practicealoud.com account. Delete all my data in the app’s settings erases it; the privacy policy describes what the app collects.

4. Purchases

5. Refunds

Apple sells and refunds purchases made in the app; we cannot issue refunds for them. To ask for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account you bought with. When Apple refunds a purchase, the access it bought ends.

PracticeAloud is not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency. We cannot promise a result on a test we do not administer, and nothing in the app is legal advice about your case.

7. Acceptable use

The app is for practicing for the naturalization test. We may limit or suspend access when it is used for other purposes — including seeking professional advice (medical, legal, financial) or generating disallowed content. Warnings come first; repeated misuse leads to suspension.

8. Liability

The app is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to keep it available and useful, but we do not guarantee a test result. Liability is limited to the amount you paid for purchases in the app in the 12 months before the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version date above changes when we do, and this page is where the current version lives. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept them.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@practicealoud.com. Help with the app itself — purchases, restoring them, your data — is on the app’s support page.
